Abstract This collection contains documents, correspondence, newsletters and ephemera relating to the College of Health and Public Affairs (COHPA) and its School of Public Administration. The majority of the collection was given by Dr. Wendell Lawther, who began teaching at UCF in 1984 and was a professor for the COHPA Department of Public Administration (later School of Public Administration) for thirty years.

Abstract Steven Altman was the third President of the University of Central Florida. He only occupied the position from 1989 until 1991; therefore the quantity of documentation is limited. Abstract These materials were collected by various unknown individuals as a way to chronicle the history of the University of Central Florida since its creation as Florida Technological University. The collection is divided into four series to delineate between general University history and organizational history. The vast majority of this collection is made up of news articles cut from local newspapers, however there are other materials such as office notes, pictures, brochures, and pamphlets.
